Some snippets configuration for CSF firewall


csf_largeCSF (stands for ConfigServer Security & Firewall) is a Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall, Login/Intrusion Detection and Security application for Linux servers. This note mentions some snippets for configuring this software.

  1. To deny/allow incoming/outgoing ports, change the configuration file csf.conf
  2. To remove an IP from temporary ban list, remove it from csf.tempban
  3. To enable some crawler such as goolge, yahoo crawler, etc., change csf.rignore and add rDNS list
